The Statistics Group at USQ played host to the first
Queensland Statistics Conference
in 2003.

Each year,
the Statistics Group at USQ hold a Statistics Day.
On this day,
the Statistics Group (staff and students) meet to talk about their research
and activities through the past year.
Second and third year students are also invited,
and encouraged to ask questions about further studies in statistics.
Recent guest speakers include:
- 2003: Allan Lisle (UQ, Gatton campus)
