Why have a competition?
Statisticians are often cloistered away in Universities or corporate offices of large institutions. You don't generally see them.
But statisticians are actually at work almost everywhere, often under names such as biometricians, market analysts, econometricians, biostatisticians, and so on.
In this competition, we hope to give you an understanding of some of the things statisticians do, and some of the fields where statisticians can work.
