Dr. Ji Zhang is currently a
Lecturer (equivalent
to Assistant Professor in North
American Universities)
in the Department of Mathematics and Computing at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He was
the Principal Advisor for Research in Division of ICT Services, University
of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia from 2010 to 2011. He was a visiting scholar at University of Science and
Technology of China (USTC),
China in 2011 and at Michigan
State University(MSU), USA in 2010. He
was a
Post-doctoral Research Fellow in CSIRO
ICT Center
at Hobart, Australia from 2008 to 2009. He received his degree of
Ph.D. from the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie
University,
Canada in 2008, degree of M.Sc from
Department of Computer Science at National
University of Singapore
in 2002 and degree of B.E from Department of
Information Management and Information Systems at the Southeast
University,
China in 2000. Dr. Zhang
is currently a member of the
Center of Systems Biology (CSBi) at USQ.
Dr.
Zhang is the recipient of 2011 Australian Endeavor Award and 2010
Queensland International Fellowship. He is the conference program chair
of 2011 International Conference on Data and Knowledge Engineering
(ICDKE), sponsored by IEEE.
Dr.
Zhang's research interestes include Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining
(KDD), Databases, Bioinformatics, Information Privacy and Security.
