The Office of Research and Higher Degrees at USQ offers the support of a Statistical Consulting Unit (SCU) to assist USQ researchers (staff and postgraduate students only), from the experimental design stage through to data collection, analysis and interpretation.
What does the Statistical Consulting Unit have to offer you?
Advice regarding:
- appropriate experimental or survey design to answer your research questions,
- understanding the statistical jargon used in your specific context,
- appropriate data collection and entry methods,
- using statistical analysis software such as SPSS,
- data screening, including data cleaning and summarising prior to analysis,
- the most appropriate methods of analysis,
- interpretation of the output from the analysis.
You can request a consultation here, or by selecting the 'Consulting' tab above and then the 'Request Consultation' option from the left menu.
Please note that due to present demand on the Statistical Consultancy Unit, it is very likely that you will be put on a waiting list. Please take this into account when booking through the SCU (i.e. plan to see us early!)
