Aims of the Databases Interest Group at USQ
- Foster research in the areas of:
- general database theory;
- semistructured databases and XML;
- data mining and knowledge discovery;
- content management, ems, and cscw;
- e-commerce and web services;
- Foster teaching, notably:
- establish Data Management major content;
- review data-related course content;
- assure quality in teaching of data-related courses.
The Databases Interest Group at the University of Southern Queensland invites staff, students and external participants with interests in Mathematics and Computing to meet on a regular basis to consider emerging issues in the area of data management.
