Problem

Despite tranditional routing protocols for wireless ad hoc network have performed in the past reasonably well, the security of routing protocol, however, has not been given adequate consideration.

Strategy

In this project, we will extend the existing routing protocols such as AODV, DSDV, with security. The strategy is to modify these routing protocols with security level in the packets format, then implement the modified protocols on NS2.

Expected outcomes

The follwoing outcome are expected:

• revised routing protocols
• some approach of adding the secuirty to the routing protocol
• an analysis of the revised routing protocols performance
