Within USQ a national high schools programming competition is organised. At present this happens on an annual basis. It has been considered as possible to organise a more regular competition on a smaller scale to help develop a culture of programming among young people and promote the main competition. The creation of a web interface for this competition would be a suitable project. Discovering usability, availability and demand on the website would also be possible. Determining the impact of the competition on students and the usefulness as a resource for schools could also be studied.
