Canberra is home to several high profile Linux people and has a healthy Linux community.
The Canberra Linux User Group (CLUG)
The Canberra Linux User Group meets on the 4th thursday of each month starting around 7pm. For location details and a map please see http://www.clug.org.au/
Be warned that CLUG is oriented towards fairly technical Linux users. Everyone is welcome, but the talks tend to be quite detailed and may assume that the audience already has some Linux knowledge. CLUG discussions happen on the 'linux' mailing list at http://lists.samba.org/
