Overview

We invite contributed talks and posters on all areas of applied mathematics for inclusion in the conference program. Students talks are especially encouraged and will be eligible for the T.M. Cherry Prize, named in honour of the distinguished Australian mathematician Sir Thomas Macfarland Cherry. There may be a statistics day.

Registration

Firstly, please go to http://www.sci.usq.edu.au/conference/index.php/ANZIAM/2009 and register in OCS system and simultaneously for the 2009 conference (although you do not have to pay immediately, it would be preferable).

Secondly, to submit a talk/presentation abstract go to http://www.sci.usq.edu.au/conference/index.php/ANZIAM/2009/user, click on "Edit my profile", click on the role as "Author" then "Save". Then under "2009: 45th Applied Mathematics Conference" click on "Author", then "Step one of the submission process" and so on.

Directions to Caloundra

Caloundra is approximately one hour's drive north of Brisbane. Just take the Caloundra exit from the Bruce Highway. From the Bruce Highway you will be driving along Caloundra Rd. Keep going through the roundabout that acts as a turnoff to Nicklin Way. Soon after turn right into Landsborough Parade, and Rydges is on the right. There is a simple map on the Rydges Oasis Resort website.

Public Transport from Airports to Caloundra

SunAir http://www.sunair.com.au runs hourly buses from the Brisbane airports (both Domestic and International) to Caloundra. It also runs buses from the Sunshine Coast airport, leaving after every flight arrives.

From Brisbane there are two options. The Transit Stop Service costs $35 one-way, takes about 1.5 hours, and drops you off about a 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel (Caloundra Bus Interchange - Cooma Terrace). The door-to-door will take you to the hotel door for $48.
